Project Wisdom

Good morning, Lincoln Middle School!

American workers, from bank tellers to plumbers to landscapers, are known around the world for their strong work ethic, productivity, and ingenuity. Great Scottish writer Thomas Carlyle once said:

“All work is honorable.”

Everyday people around the nation are working hard, and as a result, they are making our lives easier. Just think about the simple task of turning on your television. All kinds of workers made that possible, from factory workers to salespeople to the electrician who wired your home.

The everyday jobs of our parents, caregivers, and teachers may not seem as glamorous as the work of entertainers and celebrities, but just imagine what our daily lives would be like if hardworking people didn’t get up and do their jobs every day.

In celebration of Labor Day on Monday, be sure to tell someone you know how much you appreciate the hard work he or she does every day.

With something to think about… make it a great day by owning your actions, behaviors, and attitude. As always, the choice is yours.

National Holiday Monday, September 1

In observance of the national Labor Day Holiday, all schools and office sites in the Oceanside Unified School District will be closed Monday, September 1.  Campuses and offices will re-open during their normal business hours the following day.

Rocked Registration - The Panther Way!

Hats off to our AMAZING office staff and counselors for exhibiting the 8 Keys as we opened the 2014-2015 school year. Online registration was not as successful as we anticipated, yet, our ladies demonstrated all 8 Keys through their kind words, patience, flexibility, and commitment. They remained cool, calm, and collected with over 700 one on one contact with families to ensure registration was completed. We salute you! (Pictured are Sue Hopkins, Michelle Terrell, Susan Deal, Sandra Arvizu, Maria Moreno, Deirdre Colburn, Cora De La Pena, and Sara Ozuna.)
