Good morning, Lincoln Middle School!
We are fortunate to live in a country that provides us with so many opportunities: opportunities to realize our dreams, to improve our lives. We have opportunities millions of people around the globe may never have. Did you know there are millions of children in the world who will never have the opportunity to receive an education?
So the opportunities are here, but opportunities themselves don't guarantee us anything. It takes more. Now listen to this advice from a wise father:
“ . . I want my son to realize that there is plenty of opportunity for him to achieve success, but whether he wins or loses depends entirely on his own character, perseverance, intelligence, and capacity for hard work.”
*Major John L. Griffin
In other words, we choose what we will do with our opportunities. Today, choose well. Take advantage of all the opportunities a good education will provide.
With something to think about… make it a great day by owning your actions, behaviors, and attitude. As always, the choice is yours.
Please drive carefully in the mornings and drop off your students in a safe spot. Leave early enough to avoid the rush! We don't want any of our students or families to be injured because we are in a rush in the mornings! Thank you and have a great school year!
