Dear Students,

Welcome to Lincoln Middle School.  

The teachers, staff and administration of this school are committed to

helping you achieve high levels of learning.  We know that the knowledge and skills you learn here are essential to preparing you for your life as an adult.  We will do everything we can to help you succeed in your classes.

At the same time, we expect you to help yourself.  Attend school every day.  Be on time to class.  Do all of your assignments.  Attend after school tutoring for extra help.  Get involved with our after school activities and sports.  Respect each other, the school’s rules and the authority of the adults entrusted to take care of you.  If you have a problem, no matter what it is, we want you to ask us for help.  We will help you.

My staff and I are committed to ensuring your time at Lincoln Middle School is filled with successes.  We take great pride in our students.  We are excited to have you here.  And we look forward to making you proud to be a Lincoln Panther.

I am so excited to get to play an integral role in the success of your student at our STEM academy. We are a community of dedicated educators that welcome your student into our family. We have high expectations for each and every one of our students as we facilitate a rigorous and relevant education focusing on STEM. Our goal is to have all of our students promote with not only the skills that will make them college and career ready, but also with the life skills to achieve greatness in whichever direction they go.

We are a community, we are a family, and we are here to support, care, educate, and develop your student into the best they can be. We are here for you and your family. Lulu Fernandez- Dean of Students


I am a native San Diegan raised in San Marcos and now residing in Carlsbad. I attended schools San Marcos from kindergarten class at Knob Hill and on through graduate school at Cal State San Marcos. I have worked for San Marcos Unified for 11 years in third and fifth grade at San Marcos Elementary and now at San Elijo Middle. I also have experience teaching adults; Twin Oaks/Foothills High School through the CBET program, and Vista Adult School through their ESL program.

On my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, yoga, and staying active walking my dogs Michi, and Luna by the beach. I also enjoy international travel and have experienced Egypt, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, European countries including; Ireland, Scotland Italy, Spain, Greece, France, England, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Brussels, and south; Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Aruba.
