Stephen Sly

Stephen SlyHello! My name is Stephen Sly. I teach Visual Arts here at Lincoln Middle School. I am passionate about art and find it intriguing. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in 2012. After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Music from Cal State University Fullerton in 2012, I decided to give substitute teaching a try. I fell in love with being in the classroom. After a few years of substituting, I decided to go back to school to work on my teaching credential. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Middle Level Program at Cal State University San Marcos. This program is unique, it is the only program in the state dedicated to training teachers specifically for the middle grades. I find that middle school students are amazing humans. They are capable of so much and I really believe in the education that we provide at Lincoln. The community is one of a kind, the students, and staff are unique and inspiring. I am excited to work with our students to help them grow into responsible and productive citizens. I look forward to getting to know our students, to share interests, and learn from them.
